Krystal Marie Ball

Krystal Marie Ball (born November 24, 1981) is an American political commentator. She was a former politician, and a TV host on MSNBC as well as a regular contributor to The Huffington Post, and former cohost of The Hill’s Rising alongside Saagar Enjeti. Enjeti and Ball made the decision to cancel the show in May 2021. This was in order for them to release Breaking Points (Krystal and Saagar). Ball co-hosts the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends with Kyle Kulinski. She has been featured on various network shows, including CNN, Fox News, Fox News, CNBC, Fox News, and Real Time with Bill Maher. Ball got married to Jonathan Dariyanani in 2020. Ball credits her ongoing fascination with politics to her experience as a newly-wed mother in the 2008 primaries. She also watched the US presidential election from Jordan as she was in Jordan. She was able to observe how the election affected those living in Jordan and she was able to appreciate the impact that US politics has on everyone around the globe. She was a Senior Fellow at the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party nominee for Congress in Virginia's 1st congressional district during the election of 2010, but lost to Republican incumbent Rob Wittman. She was the host of The Cycle, a MSNBC TV show that she hosted from June 2012 through August 2015. She founded the People's House Project, an organization that promotes Democratic causes in May 2017.
