Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, born on August 19, 1965 was an American actress. She also works as an actor and producer. She is most famous for playing the role of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick received two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The seventh season of the series concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring character as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007), and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who is an educator therapy for families, a venture capitalist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech Therapist. Her mother, who was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian origins. Sedgwick says she is Jewish and claims she goes to Passover seders.
