Maria Elena Bello
Maria Elena Bello, born April 18 1967, is an American actress, producer and writer. Her film roles include Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013), and Lights Out (2016). In the television world, Bello appeared as Dr. Anna Del Amico on the medical drama ER (1997-1998) as well as additional starring roles, including Lucy Robbins on the series Touch in 2013. She also starred as Michelle McBride on the first season of the show Goliath in 2016, and from 2017 until 2021, as the Special Agent Jacqueline "Jack" Sloane on the NCIS series. NCIS. Bello was born on April 18 1967 in Norristown in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Kathy Bello, a nurse at school and teacher, and Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She grew up in a middle-class, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. In the seventh grade at Villanova University, she majored in political science. After graduating, Bello honed her acting skills through a variety of New York theater productions. Bello along with Dan McDermott is the proud mother of Jackson. Bello wrote in November 2013 about her same-sex relationship, Clare Munn, and how it ended. The book she wrote was titled Whatever...Love Is a Love: Questioning All the Labels That We Give Ourselves. (Dey Street Books. April 28 in 2015).
